The support you need for the life you want
A full time carer for 24 years and now working part time in Advocacy, a charity which provides an advocacy service to children and young adults who have additional support needs and/or mental health problems in the Glasgow area.
During the years I cared for my son I was pro-active in the West Dunbartonshire area working in partnership with the local authority and the health board to improve services for children and young adults with disabilities.
I continue to be involved in this partnership as there remain many issues for disabled children and young adults which must be resolved.
