The four friends cooked up a storm and visited each other's houses over several nights to sample the tasty treats. The idea was based on the popular Channel 4 show where four strangers cook for each other in their own homes, with the chance to win a prize of £1000.

Raymond, of Alexandria, was behind the idea, and with the help of his support workers he was delighted to host his friends Mandy, Jim and Nicola at the first dinner party. Raymond wanted to raise money for Sport Relief, and had recently been taking cooking lessons, so this seemed like a perfect combination.

Support worker Joanne is proud of what the group have accomplished.

She said, "It was a huge success, it was something they now hope to repeat with a summer 'Come BBQ With Me' event.  Because we encourage him to do as much for himself as possible we showed Raymond a choice of menus and then he picked out what he wanted to do. He was so proud of himself when collecting the money." 

Raymond treated his guests to home made carrot and coriander soup, steak pie with sweet potato wedges and topped it off with profiterole gateau and home made sorbet for desert. 

The group raised £75 for Sport Relief through their evenings.
