We are currently looking for the following team members:

Fundraising Volunteer

PAISLEY

FUNDRAISING VOLUNTEER ( 3-6 months)

8 - 24 hours per week

All expenses paid 

We are looking for fundraising volunteer in our Paisley office to assist in raising awareness about the work we do and the people we support in order to improve their opportunities in the long term.

If you are an enthusiastic, friendly and hardworking individual looking to expand your experience in the events industry, this could be for you. Whether you are looking to break into the voluntary sector or a student looking for a placement – get involved in this opportunity to organise events.

Essential:

  • Outgoing, imaginative, enthusiastic, excellent communicator
  • A friendly and professional telephone manner
  • Ability to use own initiative

Desirable:

  • Skills in negotiation and the ability to persuade
  • Understanding of third sector and an awareness of disability issues
  • Previous experience in fundraising or organising events
  • Knowledge and understanding of ethical issues around fundraising

Role Description:

  • To identify and pursue ways of raising funds for Share
  • Planning and organising fundraising events
  • Seeking Sponsorship from companies and individuals
  • To take action to help secure funding e.g. talking to companies on the phone, speaking to schools or other groups
  • Acknowledging donations and thanking donors
