The Share Committee meets on a regular basis with the Management Team to review period reports prepared by the Managing Director (CEO), Finance Director and the Regional Care Managers.
The Committee also help prepare and periodically review the organisation's business plan and our performance against that plan.

40 years old Stuart trained as a Scottish solicitor before completing an MBA in 2007. He lives in Eaglesham with his wife Fiona and two children.
His hobbies include Skiing, and military history. He has been Chairman since 1999.

Dr Brian Venters (Vice Chairman) |

Born Newhaven, Edinburgh in 1939. Worked in agricultural engineering
and pharmaceutical industry. Married to Jean in 1962 and daughters
Susan and Shirley born in 1965 with cerebral palsy.
Entered Edinburgh University in 1969 as mature student to study
medicine. Son Brian Paul born in 1970. Qualified MB ChB in 1975.
Practiced as a GP for 30 years.

Joined Share Scotland as Finance Manager in 1999 after spending his
career in professional offices as a chartered accountant or in industry.
Roy has now taken on the role of Treasurer of the organisation and his
previous experience as an executive officer of the organisation will
assist in the continuity of our financial planning.

A full time carer for 24 years and now working part time in Advocacy, a
charity which provides an advocacy service to children and young adults
who have additional support needs and/or mental health problems in the
Glasgow area.
During the years I cared for my son I was pro-active in the West
Dunbartonshire area working in partnership with the local authority and
the health board to improve services for children and young adults with
disabilities.

Douglas Kerr (Committee Member) |

A senior police officer now retired who, since retiring from the police
force, has had various paid jobs which included reviewing the safety of
children on the “At Risk” register on behalf of the City of Edinburgh
council.
Douglas has a daughter who resides in one of the Share homes and now
confines himself to committee work for Share on a few other voluntary
tasks
