In a recent inspection from the Care Inspectorate, Share Scotland was awarded the maximum rating of 6 stars for both Management and Leadership and for the Quality of Care and Support. This is a wonderful endorsement of the hard work, time and energy that our staff put into caring for our fantastic service users, and shows just how much their commitment and care pays off.
During the inspection, lots of people were asked about their experiences of Share, and some of the comments were –
“I feel safe as I know the staff are very caring”
“The staff regularly attend training and it shows, they do an excellent job”
“My plan covers my daily needs and any special instructions. It tells staff how to read my facial expressions”
Other points made in the inspection report included the fact that staff were provided with training on intensive interaction to help them gain a better understanding of what people they support who have communication difficulties are trying to tell them, which was provided by one of Britain’s recognised leaders in Intensive Interaction.
Service users also commented that they are treated with respect and were confident the staff understood what their needs are and what was important to them.
