What is Self-directed Support (SDS)?

The Social Care (Self-directed Support) (Scotland) Act 2013 was brought into force by the Scottish Government on 1st April 2014. It means that local authority social work departments must offer a range of choices to individuals on how they receive their care and support, so you can make informed choices to secure the life you want.
